Professional IndemnityInsurance includes a number of helpful features. These include, among others:

• Costs for the modification or blocking of your own website by third parties
• Loss of (also electronic) work documents
• Breach of trust by own employees

In principle, Professional Indemnity Insurance naturally covers the policyholder, regardless of whether they are a natural person or a legal entity. The following group of persons is automatically insured for all products:

• legal representatives of the policyholder
• all employees (including trainees, part-time employees, volunteers, working students, etc.)
• temporary workers integrated into the company
• Freelancers integrated into the company
• Subcontractors
• Shareholders, limited partners, supervisory board members, etc.
• Subsidiaries within the EEA and UK (outside by explicit designation)
• Representatives
• Activities of managing directors of a GmbH in their own name and for their own account outside the insured company
• Participants in consortia and joint ventures (within the EEA and UK)

The Professional Indemnity premium is a mixed calculation depending on the customer situation and the risk to be insured. The calculation includes the amount of the annual turnover, the selected sums insured as well as any additional modules and discounts such as start-up discounts and term discounts.

The premium for our Professional Indemnity Insurance starts at EUR 133,10 per year and averages around EUR 450 net per year across all insured sectors.

The notice period is one month to the end of the insurance year. exali offers a minimum term of one year or three years (with a discount of 10 percent). If the notice period of one month is not met, the contract is automatically extended by a further insurance year.

However, a special right of termination exists in the following cases:

• Increase in contributions without adjustment of benefits (adjustments due to an increase in turnover or discontinuation of the start-up discount are not included)
• Reduction of activity (e.g. freelancer changes to permanent position)
• After a claim has been settled
• If payments made have been in excess, these will be refunded on a pro rata basis.
